Our economy held to ransom again
The petrol tanker driver dispute has shown us the fragility of our country.
Next time it might be another government or a terrorist act that stops the fuel flowing and then we will have no back up. Whatever the ransom is, we will have to pay it or risk our country and it’s economy collapsing.
The government needs to change our energy supply to a secure and sustainable one.
We should all be driving around in our electric cars (some with their rather cool doors). This needs to happen urgently. We need a government that can see these long term problems and work with business and the people to solve them.
Quite neatly we could also use all our new cars for energy storage and we can all breath a bit more easily.
